Abstract (EN)

In this thesis a new method has been developed to control delay and jitter which are the biggest problems to transmission of real-time multimedia data in packet switched networks. The developed method (called Just in Time Transport (JITT)) consists of a transport protocol and a queue model. JITT makes timing and prioritization on the routers. So that, delay and jitter are kept under control and improved. Firstly, JITT behaviors have been analyzed mathematically. After that, JITT has been tested by using the network simulator 2 (ns2) in different simulation model and networking conditions as well as in a real environment and compared to other commonly used transport layer protocols and queue models. According to experimental studies, JITT has given highly successful results in terms of delay, jitter and packet loss ratios.
