Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to investigate, compare, and evaluate the behavior of the highway base layer under repeated loads using different materials. The base layer reinforced with palm, geotextile, and bituminous palm, was compared with reference values. The analysis of the experimental results was evaluated based on total, permanent, and elastic deformation, Traffic Benefit Ratio (TBR), Ruth Depth Reduction (RDR), and elastic deformation percentage. At 23 mm permanent deformation value, TBR values are 2.96 for geotextile reinforcement, 5.85 for palm reinforcement, and 1.73 for bituminous palm reinforcement. At the end of 2000 load cycles, RDR values for geotextile, palm, and bituminous palm reinforcement were 32.97%, 45.8%, and 24.3%, respectively.
