Abstract (EN)
In our country, the insufficient amount of organic matter in the soil negatively affects agriculture in various aspects. To address this problem, attempts have been made to increase the organic matter content by incorporating organic wastes into the soil. One of the potential waste materials considered is cotton pulp. The aim was to utilise the abundant wastes from cotton production in the GAP region by removing them from the environment and incorporating them into the soil. In this greenhouse study, 4 different amounts (0, 80, 160, 240 g) were applied to 5 kg pots in 3 replications. The study followed a randomised plots experimental design. The aim was to determine the effect of mixing cottonseed meal with soil on certain physical properties of the soil. According to the data obtained, it is of great importance to use cottonseed meal in agriculture as a means of increasing the organic matter and phosphorus content of the soil.
