Thewhole properties of reactive dyes are given in detail. All application methods usedfor dyeing of cotton fabric with reactive dyes are investigated in detail. And also, these methods are compared with themselves according to various parameters. In this MSc Thesis, 8 cotton vowen fabrics which have different weave, yarndensity and weight are dyed with selected vinylsulfhon reactive dye at 3 differentshades (20g/L, 60g/L, 120g/L) according to 4 diffrent methods (pad-batch, pad-steam, pad-termozol, exhaust). Color fastness tests and color measurement test areapplied to dyed fabrics. Some of the obtained results are given following. The results showed that, color match was seen between exhaust and pad-batchmethods at the lightest shade. It was seen that pattern weave doesn?t have anyinfluence upon the color strength at the exhaust dyeing method. It was also foundthat application methods have very much influence upon perspiration and lightfastness. With exhaust dyeing, the highest perspiration and light fastness propertieswere obtained.Key words: Reactive Dyes, Cotton, Fabric Dyeing Methods
