Özet (EN)

In this study, we aimed to examine the psychological effects of the covid 19 pandemic and the quarantine measures taken in this process on the society and patients. This study was carried out with the participation of patients and their relatives applying to Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine Ertuğrul 36th Family Health Center (n=305). Anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) levels were evaluated together with the individuals' socio-demographic characteristics. 57,7% of the patients were female and the mean age was 39,87 ± 16,26 years. 22,9% of the individuals had severe/very severe anxiety and at least 69,8% had mild depression. Anxiety, depression and PTSD levels were higher among those who had sleep problems, whose colleague or relative had covid 19 or died, those who started smoking or increased the amount of cigarettes and those whose life was adversely affected due to the problems experienced during the pandemic period. Those who experienced financial loss and whose standard of living was affected had higher levels of depression and PTSD. Primary school graduates, compared to university graduates aged 35 and younger, those whose alcohol consumption increased, those with psychological distress due to quarantine measures, those whose life was negatively affected and those who gained weight had increased depression levels (r=-0,299; p<0,001). Furthermore, individuals' anxiety, depression and PTSD levels were significantly correlated to each other (p<0,001). Many negative situations and personal problems experienced during the pandemic increases the levels of anxiety, depression and PTSD. Moreover, the occurrence and levels of these conditions are related to one another. Efforts to prevent the negativities encountered during the pandemic can reduce the society's level of psychological wear. Key Words: Pandemic, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder.
