Özet (EN)

In Kastamonu city center; It is aimed to investigate the numerical change caused by the Covid-19 (Corona virus) Pandemic epidemic on crime types, specifically on the subject titled Crime Geography of Kastamonu City during the Pre-Pandemic Period and During the Pandemic. Literature review method was used among qualitative research methods, analysis was made with SPSS method among quantitative research methods, independent group T test and Anova test were used, and scanning method was used. In this study; Numerical data of crime groups within the scope of Public Order and Juvenile crimes (Crimes Committed Against Society, Crimes Against Persons, Crimes Against Property, Crimes Committed Against Nation and State and Requiring Follow-Up) were analyzed in the Excel program, and the data transferred to the line chart were interpreted. Independent group T test and ANOVA test were used through SPSS method. The number of crimes committed in the pre-pandemic period and the pandemic period were compared with the Independent group T test method. In Kastamonu city center, the number of crimes committed between 2010-2022; Seasonal, annual and monthly periods were evaluated with the ANOVA method. The analysis of the change in the number of crimes caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, which forms the basis of the research subject evaluated in the context of Kastamonu city center, using the Independent group T test method, concluded that there is a significant difference in some types of crimes and that there is no significant difference in some types of crimes.
