Adjustment of contract due to the pandemic

The covid-19 pandemic, which affects the whole world, has also shown its effects in various areas in our country. The pandemic has caused extraordinary situations in the field of law as in all fields of life. Adaptation of contract became a current issue due to the unforeseen circumstances and complications caused by the covid-19 which was included in the pandemic category by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. In this study, we will evaluate the effects of pandemic on private law contracts according to force majeure, impossibility, hardship and exceptio non adimpleti. When an obligation cannot be performed due to pandemic, other party will also no longer be bound by his obligation or the other party may demand fort he adaptation of contract to new circumstances.
