Özet (EN)

AİM: Retrospective evaluation of patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy for periampullary cancer, hospital mortality, morbidity and survival rates and factors affecting them. PATİENTS AND METHODS: 23 patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy due to periampullary regional tumor between 2003 and 2014 were included in the General Surgery Department of Celal Bayar University Medical Faculty Hospital. This retrospective study evaluated the age, gender, application complaints, tumor location, tumor diameter, presence of lymph node metastasis, tumor differentiation grade, preoperative total bilirubin level, preoperative serum alkaline phosphatase value, presence of preoperative biliary drainage procedure and operation time.Mortality and morbidity data, and 1 and 2 year survival rates after pancreaticoduodenectomy were compared based on the evaluated parameters. Statistical data were generated using a Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS)15.0. In the descriptive statistical analysis; continuous data were expressed with mean minimum and maximum values, categorical data expressed with number and percentage distributions. Chi- Square and Fisher's exact test were used to compare categorical data.Tumor-related mortality was assessed by Kaplan-Meier test and Cox regression test.P <0.05 significance was taken as the limit value in analytical evaluations. RESULTS: In our study we observed that tumor localization, lymph node metastasis status and preoperative total bilirubin value affects mortality, morbidity and survival. CONCLUSION: We can use these factors to predict patients who will undergo pancreaticoduodenectomy and predict perioperative mortality, postoperative morbidity, and postoperative survival rates.
