Özet (EN)

Today, the economic system is based on two basic assumptions; personal interests and rationality and money serves as an important tool in the realization of exchange transactions. The motivation of making money plays an active role in the choices of economic decision-making units in an economy which has dominated by the private sector. Therefore it is expected that the desire for entrepreneurship will also be high in a society where the desire to earn money is high. In this context, the effect of love of money on entrepreneurial intention and the moderating role of fear of failure in this relationship have been analyzed using a questionnaire in this study. The sample of the study consists of 296 students studying in programs within the scope of Gümüşhane University of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The results obtained from the study are consistent with theoretical expectations. There is a statistically significant and positive relationship between the love of money and entrepreneurial intention. According to results, while high fear of failure negatively affects the relationship between love of money and entrepreneurial intention; low fear of failure positively affects the relationship between love for money and entrepreneurial intention.
