Özet (EN)
Steam is an indispensable element in industrial applications. The cost and environmental effects of fossil fuels used for steam generation are increasing day by day. Increasing fossil fuel costs and renewed environmental regulations pave the way for new approaches in generating steam used in the industry. With the technological innovations realized, the use of renewable energy sources is becoming widespread for generating steam. In this study, a system was designed to generate the steam requirements of an industrial enterprise from a parabolic through solar collector which located in Bursa,Turkey. TRNSYS Energy Simulation program used for simulation of designed system. While simulating the system, working hours between 08:00 AM- 06:00 PM were accepted, and the required steam at a 6 bar-165 °C was provided continuously at a capacity of 150 𝑘𝑔ℎ𝑟⁄ between these hours. Parabolic through solar collector efficiencies, solar fraction, effects of changing aparture area on solar fraction and monthly steam generation were calculated as simulation output. As a result of the simulation; the efficiency of the parabolic through solar collector with; 50 𝑚2 aperture area and 23.17 concentration ratio, reached its maximum value 54% in july and august. The montly solar fraction ratio in steam generation reached its maximum value %65 in july. Annual solar fraction is obtained as %37. As a result of the simulation, the annual amount of steam generation obtained 490,600 kg and the amount of steam generation directly from solar energy obtained 97,800 kg.
