Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the modeling and simulation of the circuits including nonlinear elements are carried out on Matlab/Simulink environment. The study consist of two stages. In the first stage, the piecewise linearity approach is applied to the characteristics of the nonlinear elements and modeling of switches and the sources are achieved with linear elements and control inequalities. Then these models are constructed with SimPowerSystems library on Matlab/Simulink environment. In the second stage of the study, the simulation results of the sample circuits are given. In the simulation stage, for the sample circuits, the nonlinear elements are replaced with the models that are obtained in the first stage of the study. Then for the simulation of the same circuits, the models of nonlinear elements in the SimPowerSystems library are used. The obtained results are compared for both cases. But the comparisons are not carried out for all sample circuits. In the case that the circuits contain the different characteristics such as nonlinear resistive, inductive and capacitive elements, since there are no equivalent elements in the SimPowerSystems library, thus these sample circuits are just simulated with the models that are obtained in the first stage.
