Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, modifications in particle physics generated by modern Kaluza-Klein theories are examined and their consequences are discussed. The idea of extra dimension proposed by Kaluza and Klein, which was used to unify electromagnetic and gravitational forces has been applied to particle physics and as a consequence modern Kaluza-Klein theories have been arisen. In this study, two of the best known modern Kaluza-Klein theories namely, Randall-Sundrum model of warped extra dimensions and Arkani-Hamed, Dimoupolos, Dvali model of flat extra dimensions have been treated. In the first part of this thesis, General Theory of Relativity and Standart Model which are the fundamental theories of gravity and particle physics have been presented. In the second part, solutions provided by RS and ADD models to hierarchy problem which is simply defined as the inexplicable disparity of the Planck scale and the weak scale, have been discussed and some predictions of these models on particle physics phenomenology have been identified.
