Özet (EN)

Objective: In Parkinson's disease, brain ventricular volumes increase as a result of progressive neurodegeneration in peripheral structures. Automatic segmentation methods, which are increasingly important nowadays, are frequently used to measure changes in volumes of brain structures. The aim of this study was to evaluate the brain ventricular volumes of patients with Parkinson's disease and healthy individuals by MRICloud service. Method: 43 patients with Parkinson's disease and 45 healthy subjects were included in the study. Brain ventricular volumes of individuals were measured by MRICloud, an automated segmentation method. The differences in ventricular volume were evaluated. Results: Brain ventricular volumes of the subjects in the PH group was significantly larger than the control group (p<0,05). When the total volume of lateral ventricles was compared to the side of symptoms onset in the PD group, right ventricular volume was found to be greater for the right and left sides. Conclusion: We compared the ventricular volumes of individuals with PH and control group with the MRICloud service, a method not used in PH. We think that our findings will contribute to to the literature. Anahtar Kelimeler: MRICloud, Parkinson Hastalığı, ventrikül, hacim
