Abstract (EN)
Controlling the problems caused by Parkinson's disease largely depends on early diagnosis of the disease. In our country, freezing in motion is detected in patients with Parkinson's disease, by observing with eyes or with a video camera while the patients are walking. Considering human life and quality of life, this method remains rather primitive. There is an increasing need to develop automated measurement methods that determine Freezing of Gait. In order to eliminate these shortcomings and help to reveal more advanced methods, literature studies were examined, and it was necessary to reevaluate the walking data in different window intervals and different sensor positions. The goal is not only to measure freezing episodes in walking, but also to help predict and prevent them. In this thesis, it is aimed to determine the optimum window spacing and sensor position in order to more accurately detect freezing in Parkinson's patients.
