Abstract (EN)

Objective: Idiopatic Parkinson's disease (IPD) age-related which is the most common neurodegenerative movement disorder seen. Idiopatic parkinson's disease (IPD) is characterised by progressive motor symptoms bradykinesia, rest tremor, rigidity and last term postural instability. However, dementia, depression, psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, orthostatic hypotension, abnormal thermoregulation, autonomic disorders such as urinary problems, accomodation the deterioration due to blurred eyesight, olfactory disorders, dysphasia, sialorrhoea such as craniofacial disorders, tiredness (fatigue) as the like nonmotor the symptoms of the disease it is now known that the disease already and unless seen. limitation of movement occurring in this disease, immobilization at a later stage; osteoblast function enough for the patient in less outside the home but can not reduce mechanical stress and load the necessary vitamins taken in sunlight is thought to develop D deficiency. It is also thought that Parkinson's patients with swallowing problems occurred because of insufficient dietary calcium and vitamin D may be unable induced osteoporosis susceptibility. In this study, patients with idiopathic Parkinson's bones are aimed to compare the results of the evaluation and control of bone mineral density and biochemical markers. Materials and Methods: In our study,Sakarya University Research and Training Hospital neurology clinic which has been followed in the wake of the Parkinson's patients through diagnostic criteria IPD patients were taken. Thirty patients with Parkinson's Disease, 12 women and 18 men, and a control group consisting of 30 subjects, 18 women and 12 of men, were included in the study. The bone density measurements of the participants were taken from the lumbar spine (L1-4) and both femur (femur neck) regions using a DEXA device. Serum 25(OH) D vitamin, ALP,PTH,osteocalcin, prolidase and urinary hydroxyproline levels of the participants were analyzed. The SPSS for Windows 17.0 bundled software was used in evaluating all data. Results: Femur neck BMD value, T score and Z score for the patient group were found to statistically significant lower than control group. There was no in differences in term of Lumbar spine BMD, T score and Z-score values in between the groups. femur bone mineral density values in the patient group, T-scores and Z scores were lower than the control group. Patients in the control group compared to serum 25 (OH) D deficiency and secondary hyperparathyroidism was it detected more. According to the patients in the control group prolidase and urinary hydroxyproline levels were significantly higher. ALP and osteocalcin serum levels were significantly higher in the patient group compared to the control group, but were not statistically significant. Conclusion: In this study, femur bone mineral density in patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease and the serum 25(OH) D levels were significantly lower compared to the control group. However, biochemical markers of bone prolidase and urinary hydroxyproline levels were significantly higher than the control group, the group with Parkinson's disease. The frequency of falls in the group with Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis and osteopenia rate was significantly higher than the control group. For this reason; Parkinson's sufferers in terms of evaluation of osteoporosis, examination of vitamin D and other biochemical parameters of bone and it is important to begin the necessary treatment.
