Abstract (EN)
Nowadays biometrics technologies have been studied a lot and used in many applications. In investigating there are some studies about the relationship between fingerprint and face. In these studies, the relationship between fingerprint and face is analyzed by statistical methods.In this thesis, the relationship between fingerprint and face is analyzed as statistical and results of analysis are presented. Analysis which have been applied on database, used in thesis, represent that the scatter of data is homogeny and normal. Pearson Correlation is used in statistical analysis of data because of the being the most powerful method when there is homogeny and normal scatter of data.While researching of the relationship between face and fingerprint, data are classified 5 different categories in the thesis. These classifications are based on sex, distance between eyes, form of nose, form of ears and eyebrow. Each class is correlated independently and all together. Results of analysis support the relationship between face and fingerprint. Findings about relationship between sex, eyes and fingerprints are more than forms of nose, eyebrow and ears. Results support the correlation between especially fingerprint and sex. However it is concluded that there is a statistical relationship between different parts of fingerprint and different parts of face.
