Abstract (EN)

With the development of information and communication technologies, the needs of information by businesses are increasing day by day. It has been vital to use increasing data effectively and efficiently in accordance with the purpose of the business. This requires businesses to design their business processes in line with new technologies. Although the concept of personnel attendance control system has existed for many years, there have been changes in the way of implementation recently. Businesses that have had to deal with problems arising from manual attendance control systems have begun to take advantage of biometric systems to integrate new technologies into their operations. Especially, fingerprint and facial recognition are accepted as the most reliable methods in terms of uniqueness. In addition, web-based personnel attendance control systems have become one of the fastest growing technologies capable of instantaneous data flow and reporting. This study proposes a new generation technological structure used to get effective results in personnel attendance systems. The aim of this work is to design and implement a web based attendance control system for administrative staff using fingerprint and face recognition systems. At the same time, the developed system is intended to support managers' efficient and productive decision-making processes. The users of this information system are the administrative staff. Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was chosen as the application area. vii Software used for designing Personnel Attendance Control System: C#, SQL and PHP.
