The electorate of parties comparison: Example of Ankara

In this study it has been examined whether it is possible to find the area in which the parties make politics and whether numeric expression for this area is possible. For this purpose it has been focused on the factors of ideology, loyalty, politician and politics which are thought to be forming the eloctorates of the parties and it has been presumed that the purpose can be reached through the mediation of the sum of the four population. A questionnaire form that consists of 19 questions in order to test the hypothesis is prepared and it has been tried to measure the reasons of voting of the voters. The questionnaire that is prepared, has been applied in 7 districts of Ankara on 423 voters. The research that is limited to Ankara in geographical terms, has focused on AKP, CHP and MHP. All of the voters who have responded to the questionnaire, has been included to one of the four categories mentioned, afterwards ideology voters, loyal voters, politician voters and politic voters have been examined numerically and qualitative. That there is no voter apart from the categories that have not been approached and aforesaid categories has confirmed our hypothesis that we can categorize the voters in four classes. But we have reached the conclusion that there is no need to evaluate the political actor voters as a different population. The total electorates of the parties; have shown itself as, for AKP 47 %, for CHP 32 %, for MHP 28 %, according to this result it has been seen that AKP can overcome its electorates, that CHP can convert the public disturbance to votes in a substantial proportion, and regarding MHP it has been seen that there is a much higher difference between the electorate rates and the voting rate compared to the other two parties.
