Abstract (EN)
Parvoviral enteritis is an important infectious disease caused by the CPV Type-2 virus with high morbidity and mortality in puppies. This disease is being fought all over the world, including Türkiye. Although there is no specific treatment protocol specific to the disease, supportive treatment practices are carried out. The C-Reactive protein/albumin ratio, which is used to determine the severity and prognosis of many diseases in the field of human medicine, has started to take place in the field of veterinary medicine today. In this study, it was aimed to determine the CRP/ALB ratio, which is expected to contribute to the determination of the prognosis and severity of the dog with parvoviral enteritis. In the study, 20 dogs with parvoviral enteritis and 10 healthy dogs were used. The CRP/ALB ratio was also calculated along with some of the hemogram and biochemistry holders in this list. In the data obtained, CRP/ALB (34.16±3.61) was higher than healthy (2.67±0.34) animals in tests with parvoviral enteritis (p<0.001). Determining the CRP/ALB outcome of dogs with parvoviral enteritis has shown promise in terms of predictive clinical impact and prognosis.
