Abstract (EN)

Many problems such as rapid depletion of resources, economic crises, climate change, has led to the development of solutions for the efficient use of energy. In the building sector, it is seen that there are developments towards reducing energy consumption through studies such as legal regulations, certification systems, academic studies, incentive programs. In Europe, legal mandates have been introduced through the Member States setting their own Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) targets together with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. In this process, it is seen that the NZEB targets of some member states meet the limit values of the Passive House System. Passive House certification system is for new buildings as well as a version suitable for existing buildings with the name EnerPHit. The improvement of the existing building stock in Turkey within the framework of certain limit values will make a great contribution in the long term in terms of efficient use of energy resources, thermal comfort, cost of use. For this reason, in this study, an approach is proposed to evaluate the improvement of a building in terms of different results in line with the limit values of the EnerPHit certification system to make the most appropriate choice. The approach proposed in the study was described step by step and applied on an existing building in Izmir. The proposed method was applied and the results obtained were evaluated as single criteria and multi-criteria.
