Abstract (EN)
In this work, the static response of a finite beam resting on a tensionless Pasternak foundationsubjected to a vertical point load is investigated. The vertical point load may either be appliedat the center or offset of the beam. The diferantial equations are obtained by considering theBernoulli-Euler Hypothesis and with assumptation that the beam doesn?t sink into thefoundation exactly. Because of the tensionless foundation, the beam separates from thefoundation and the problem appears as a nonlinear one in which the contact regioncoordinates are not known in priority. In the introduction, elastic foundation models and thestudies are explained. In chapter two, the diferantial equations for separation and the contactregions are obtained in dimensionless form. In chapter three, the solutions of the verticaldeflection equations of the beam are obtained for different cases. In the last chapter, thevariation of contact lenght beam shear and bending moments with respect to some parametersare obtained and the results are shown in the figures.
