Identifying the individual learning styles of the students attending the pedagogic formation training, on the basis of kolb's learning styles -Çukurova University sample-

The main purpose of this research is to identify the individual learning styles of the students attending the pedagogic formation training, on the basis of Kolb's Learning Styles. In the light of the mentioned purpose, the subordinate objects are to provide evidence whether there are any differences between the students' learning styles, according to their (1) professions they have been graduated from and (2) gender differences, or not. This research has been conducted as a descriptive type and general screening model. Using the Kolb's Learning Style Scale, the research data is derived from a randomly selected group which involves 165 students out of 350 students who attend Pedagogic Formation Training Certificate Course effectuated by Cukurova University Education Faculty, during 2012-2013 academic year. The accessed data is analyzed using SPSS programme. In comparison of some of the conducted data, frequency (f), percentage (%) assets have been evaluated; however, analyzing the assessments on the subject have been evaluated t-test, and for the situations of which the distributions are not normal, Kruskal Wallis-H test which is a hipothesis test have been carried out. Moreover, for the situaions in which the Kruskal Wallis-H test has meaningful differences Mann Whitney "U" test has been applied. As a result of this research, the students learning styles do not vary on the basis of their genders, whereas a significant differences have been observed according to the professions they are graduated from.
