Abstract (EN)
Aim: The research was carried out to determine the effect of child liking status of nurses working in pediatric clinics on family-centered care approaches. Material and Method: The research was conducted as a descriptive study with 150 nurses working in pediatric clinics in Malatya city center between August and December 2021. In the collection of data; Introductory Characteristics of Pediatric Nurses Information Form, BLOCS and FCCS. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, independent groups t test, One Way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney-U, Kruskal Wallis, Post Hoc Difference analysis, Spearman Correlation and Linear Regression Analysis tests were used to evaluate the data. Results: It was determined that the nurses participating in the study had a high mean score of BLOCS and the mean total score of FCSS was average. Nurses neonatal intensive care and pediatric service and working in the pediatric clinic voluntarily had a higher mean score of BLOCS. It was observed that the average of the FCCS total score and the Support sub-dimension score of the pediatric nurses was higher than the nurses between the ages of 26-33, the average of the FCCS Respect sub-dimension score of the nurses working in the pediatric emergency and pediatric services, and the FCCS Support sub-dimension mean score of the nurses working in the pediatric service was higher. Nurses working in pediatric clinics for 1-5 years had a higher FCCS Support sub-dimension average score, and daytime nurses had a higher FCCS Collaboration sub-score average. It was observed that there was a positive and statistically significant relationship between the total score of BLOCS of pediatric nurses and the total score of FCCS. Conclusion: As the level of child liking of nurses working in pediatric clinics increases, family-centered care approaches also increase.
