Abstract (EN)

PDI pellet durability index determines the quality of pellet feed. As the PDI value increases, the quality of the pellet feed increases at the same rate. Although there are many factors affecting the increase in the PDI value of pelleted feed, this thesis study focused on pellet press discs and rolls. PDI pellet durability index analysis, which determines pellet quality, was performed according to the Holmen method. In this study, the pellet press production stage, one of the steps in the feed process, has been examined in detail and the design of pellet press discs and rolls, which provide mechanical compression, especially for the optimization of PDI quality (effective length and hole diameter in the disc, roller tooth profile open-open, crescent groove positioning positions). , effective material selection) is emphasized. Experiments were carried out by taking the effective length of the disc as 70,73,75 mm and the hole diameter as 4.5 mm. Experiments were conducted on the roll tooth profile in the form of open-open crescent groove positioning. Experiments were carried out using X46Cr13 as the disc material and Ck45, 4140 and 100Cr6 as the roll material. At the same time, experiments were made by determining the disc clearance ratio and wear ring design.
