Abstract (EN)
Together with the development of technology, our need for energy is constantly increasing. Energy production methods and technologies that can meet this increase are developing linearly. Today in Turkey, hydroelectric power plants with the highest use of renewable energy sources that were opened from the private sector with a law in 2001, it can be established in any place that is suitable in many different powers. In hydroelectric systems, water is supplied from a high ground turbine by a pipe system and the potential energy is converted into kinetic energy. Electric energy is obtained by the rotation of the generator driven by the turbine. Among the modern water turbines, Pelton turbine is the only unique action turbine that has an industrial significance. Generally suitable for high dips and small flow rates. The Pelton turbine, which seems to be simpler than the other water turbines, is actually more complex in itself. In today's technology, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD-HAD) is used in small and large turbine applications where the design of turbine components is costly. In this study; Pelton turbines for Turkey and examining the work done in the world, characteristics of turbine wheel design have been discussed and analyzed. According to different sources, for the experimental study the most appropriate wheel design parameters were determined and the turbine wheel project calculations have been made and the bucket step and the number of scoops have been verified by drawing the relative path of water in the scoop. Two micro turbine wheels have been manufactured and a number of excess buckets were verified. Two Pelton turbine wheels, which were produced, were assembled to the Pelton turbine test set in the laboratory and turbine characteristic tests were performed at different spray openers for both wheels. The turbine wheel bucket count is calculated, by using the optimized wheel drawing method, and with the number of one more bucket wheel characteristic experiments are performed and the results are given in tables and graphics. The yield value of the wheel with the number of buckets confirmed by the drawing method was obtained higher than the other. All the results were compared and interpreted.
