Abstract (EN)

Performance appraisal aim to determine effort of employee for their organizations, reward their contributions and give them feedback about their performance. Performance appraisal criteria should measure fairly real performance and feedback should be constructive. It is assumed that fair performance appraisal and constructive feedback affect organizational committment. Accordingly, it has been researched the impact of performance appraisal criteria on organizational committment in banking sector. The sample of research comprise the empoyees of the branches of public and private banks in Afyonkarahisar. Data has been collected by means of questionnaire about performance appraisal criteria of banks, organizational committment of employees and demographic information. The findings indicate the relationship between performance appraisal criteria and organizational committment.
