Nowadays, web applications hold an indispensable place in the lives of individuals and businesses. In the early days of the internet, websites consisted of simple text and images. However, with the rapid development of technology, websites have undergone significant changes, becoming much more complex, interactive, and user-friendly. Today, websites are actively used in many areas, from shopping to entertainment, from education to healthcare. This transformation has made it essential for businesses to develop performance-oriented websites to maintain their presence in the digital market and offer the best experience to their users. The performance of websites directly impacts the user experience. Slow-loading or error-ridden websites cause users to quickly leave the site and turn to other alternatives. This situation leads to significant customer and revenue losses for businesses. Therefore, solving performance issues is critical to increasing user satisfaction and gaining a competitive advantage. In this study, web performance analysis and metrics are examined in detail. The performance metrics of the same movie-watching site, developed using 9 different JavaScript libraries, were analyzed. These analyses were conducted on both mobile and desktop devices in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browsers, and the findings were compared. In evaluating web performance, metrics such as page load time, interaction speed, and resource usage were considered. The aim of the research is to identify high-performance JavaScript libraries and to reveal how libraries showing low performance can be improved. Performance improvements not only affect the user experience but also directly impact the success of businesses in the digital market. In this context, the benefits of high-performance websites are detailed, and the advantages of performance-oriented development processes in terms of optimization and user perspective are emphasized. Specifically, fast-loading websites increase user satisfaction and reinforce trust in the site. This situation raises revisit rates and strengthens customer loyalty. Moreover, performance-oriented websites rank higher in search engine rankings, increasing organic traffic and potential customer numbers. Performance improvements also reduce server costs and increase energy efficiency, providing economic benefits to businesses. The findings of this study offer valuable information for developers and businesses aiming to improve web performance, providing important insights into enhancing user experience and increasing competitiveness in the digital market. The results of the research serve as a guide on how performance-oriented website development processes can be optimized. Additionally, this study aims to contribute to future research and development efforts.
