An application of performance management and balanced scorecard in a manufacturing firm

The purpose of the present study is to show how to conduct Balanced Scorecard in a manufacturing firm as a performance measurement system. In doing this, related literature on performance was given in chapter one. In chapter two, the development and instruction of BSC was explained. In chapter three, applicability of BSC in a manufacturing firm with real data was demonstrated. According to this, vision and mission statement of the firm were determined with respect to firm dynamics, critical success factors were identified in the context of BSC model, Variables that represents critical success factors were determined, current and expected value of these variables in the line with their upper and lower bounds were calculated, responsible personnel were assigned to each of these variables, action plans and budgeting planning were proposed per each variables. The main contribution of the present study is to show how to conduct BSC in a manufacturing firm by using appropriate analyses and real data.
