Abstract (EN)
İntroduction Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a pathology that can lead to many consequences in the short and long term. If it is not diagnosed in the neonatal screening program, it usually gives symptoms in adolescents, young adults or older ages depending on the degree of subluxation and the diagnosis is made late. Many treatment methods have been described in patients diagnosed with asetabular dysplasia in young adults and adolescents. These methods usually consist of pelvis osteotomies that reshape and orient the asetabulum while preserving the hip joint. Ganz osteotomy is one of these methods. In our study, we retrospectively investiged the radiological and clinical results of adolescent and adult patients with asetabular dysplasia who underwent Ganz Osteotomt in our clinic. Materials and Methods Eighteen hips of 15 patients (1 male, 14 female) between the ages of 15-58 who underwent Ganz osteotomy for acetabular dysplasia between January 2009 and November 2019 were included in our study. The patients were compared in terms of age, preoperative and postoperative Harris Hip scores. In addition, Tonnis angle, ACEA, Thoracentric minor-Figure of tear distance were measured in the preoperative and postoperative radiographs of the patients. Results Wilcoxon and Paired Student's t test was applied according to whether the variables were parametric or not in order to compare the pre- and postoperative values. As a result of these tests, it was observed that there were significant changes in the measurements of Tonnis angle, ACEA, thoracic minor - tear figure distance and the change of Harris hip score. (p<0,001) Conclusion Considering the results of radiological measurements and clinical scoring, Ganz osteotomy applied in adolescent and young adult patients with asetabular dysplasia is a technique with very satisfactory results. Key words: Ganz osteotomy, developmental dysplasia of the hip, pelvic ostetomy
