Abstract (EN)

In oral and maxillofacial surgery, immediate implant application after tooth extraction is the treatment method applied in the rehabilitation of tooth loss. In addition to the bone formation in the area where the implant is applied following the extraction, there may be a gap between the wall of the extraction socket and the neck of the implant. There are many materials applied to this space and the technique of applying this material. The aim of our study was to evaluate the bone healing around implant surrounding defects with different platelet products, such as autologous "Titanium-Prepared Platelet-Rich Fibrin" T-TZF and "Leukocyte and Thrombocyte Rich Fibrin" L-TZF, obtained from sheep blood. In our study, male sheep with a mean weight of 30 ± 40 kg were used. The implants 10mm length and 3.75mm diameter were applied to the middle of the defects prepared with a diameter of 9mm in diameter and 3mm in depth of the sheep ileums. The gaps between the cavity borders and the implants were left empty or grafted for control goups. L-TZF, T-TZF alone; L-TZF and T-TZF were applied together with the graft were used in experimental groups. The subjects were sacrified 10 weeks after the operations and histological evaluation was performed. The sections obtained from all groups were evaluated for inflammation, necrosis, fibrosis, foreign body reaction and bone-implant contact. As a result of the evaluations, only in graft applied groups; The bone implant surface of the control group was found to be significantly lower than the T-TZF and L-TZF groups.
