Abstract (EN)

The study was conducted in a randomized controlled parallel group experimental design to determine the effect of web-based supportive care provided to women who experienced perinatal loss on perinatal grief, depression, hopelessness and coping with stress. The research was conducted with 80 women who experienced perinatal loss. Descriptive information form, Perinatal Grief Scale (PGS), Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS) and Stress Coping Styles Scale (SCSS) were used to collect the data. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 27 program. Women in the training and control groups were found homogeneous in terms of descriptive characteristics (p>0.05). The mean scores of the groups in the pre-test PGS and BHS were similar (p>0.05), whereas the pre-test scores of the EPDS were higher in the education group compared to the control group (p<0.05). After the web-based training, perinatal grief, hopelessness and depression levels of the women in the training group decreased and the difference between the groups was found to be significant (p<0.001). While the training program increased the self-confident approach (p<0.001), optimistic approach (p<0.001) and the approach of applying for social support (p<0.05) and decreased the helpless approach (p<0.001) in coping with stress, no difference was found between the groups in terms of the submissive approach (p>0.05).
