Abstract (EN)
Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the nutritional-related CONUT and GNRI scores of patients who underwent peritoneal dialysis and were followed up, together with the effects of inflammatory markers such as anemia, phosphorus level, albumin on mortality and morbidity, and current literature data. Materials and Methods: In our study, the follow-up and treatment characteristics of 97 patients who were followed up in the peritoneal dialysis unit of the Internal Medicine Nephrology Department between 2011-2021, who did not receive any other RRT before and did not transplant, were obtained by scanning the files of the patients and the computer automation system used in our hospital. The laboratory values of the patients and their CONUT and GNRI scores were calculated and their relationship to the outcome was examined. Results: The mean age of the patients was 60.7±13.1 years, and the mean age of the patients who died was higher and statistically significant in terms of outcome. DM, CHF and PHT were found in patients with exitus, and HT was found in a higher percentage in patients who continued HD and were found to be statistically significant. The GNRI score was statistically significant in terms of outcome. On the other hand, the CONUT score was found to be high as the mean value, but it was not statistically significant. CONUT was on average high and statistically significant in patients with peritonitis. Conclusion: Nutritional adequacy is an important problem in PD patients. A number of scores are used to estimate the morbidity and mortality of patients and to evaluate their nutrition. As shown in the literature, CONUT and GNRI scores can be studied in larger patient groups and can guide us in this regard.
