Abstract (EN)
Persian-Greek Wars are supposed to be a name of a stream of battles which, during the years between 499 to 449 BC, at certain intervals and between two unequal forces, are fought both on land and sea. These wars would catch fire by the insurgent attempts of Ioniancitystates, and go on till the Peace of Callias is established. Persian- Greek wars are supposed to be those wars whereby the Persians have given casualties as to feelabased. Sometimes the natural conditions and sometimes the successful struggles which are given by the Greeks at an unpredic tablelevel, have precluded these wars to yield the expected results. Greek City States, up to the outbreak of these wars, have not fostered the idea of uniting together. Each citystate has been held responsible of itself. However, the stream of these wars, has alsoled the Greek City States to unite with each other and gatherunder the name of Delos Unity. During the course of these wars, the cities of Athens and Sparta, have becomeblazed, and especially Athens has developed significant policies towards the capturing of leader shipposition. On the otherhand, in respectwith the Persians, thestruggles which were commenced by Darious I, have been continued with Kserkses, and this war for which the Persians were in the conviction of gaining a victory within a short time, has spredout and lastedfor a longperiod and not yielded the result expected by them. Through my such study where in I have explained the stream of wars which considered to be a greatvictoryfor the Greeks on onehand, and a derogatory defeat for the Persians on the otherhand, afterreferring to the military struggles that took place between these two powers, and also military personalities who were both effective during the course of thistrend, I havetried to narrate the struggles which, between years 499 to 449 BC, were made between Persians and Greeks.
