Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this thesis, supply chain management and energy integration subjects are performed together by making some improvements in the field applied, to achieve profit maximization. Primarily, single and multiobjective optimizations are performed through examples of existing and newly established supply chain networks. Subsequently applying pinch analysis technique on an acrylonitrile production plant, energy recovery is achieved. Hereby production cost is decreased and optimization is performed for the selected plant to design a supply chain network for maximum profit. In multiobjective optimization it is aimed to maximize both the profit and the market demand satisfaction while in single optimization it is focused on profit maximization only. MATLAB, GAMS and Solver tool of Excel software are used to solve mathematical models and the results are compared. In the study, minimum temperature difference is selected as 10°C and 20°C for pinch analysis and 2 alternative cases are studied for each selected temperature difference. It is seen that, 18.54-41.99% of hot and 12.45-26.41% of cold utility savings are achieved in heat exchanger networks designed for these cases. In the design of supply chain network, various transportation modes, capacity & supplier constraints are taken into account and it is also seen that profit is obtained between 3,869,389 and 4,664,841 $/year.
