A comparision of the father characters in Peyami Safa's "Fatih Harbiye", in Honoré de Balzac's "Old Goriot" and Harper Lee's "To Killing a Mockingbird"

Within the scope of this study, comparison and evaluation of father figures in Turkish writer "Peyami Safa's Fatih Harbiye", French writer "Honoré de Balzac's Old Goriot" and American writer "Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbirdwhich" it is discussed. Within the scope of this study, the values that children attribute to their fathers and the way children communicate with their fathers are examined comparatively in the works that reflect three different nationalities. The data obtained in the study were created by examining, analyzing, and evaluating various works on the father figure. The three works in question were evaluated in the context of the father figure by using the methods offered by the comparative literature science.
