Abstract (EN)

The rapidly advancing technologies of today are fundamentally transforming design and implementation processes. At the heart of this transformation, Building Information Modelling (BIM) has created a significant paradigm shift in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. By offering a collaborative working methodology, BIM provides a shared workspace and brings numerous benefits from the design phase to the management phase. Landscape architecture, as a multidisciplinary profession that organizes the relationship between nature and humans, requires multidimensional thinking and ecological sensitivity in design. In this context, BIM not only offers a new tool for managing complex projects and optimizing processes in the field of landscape architecture, but also econtributes to more informed decision-making on critical issues such as sustainability, resource usage, and environmental impacts. This thesis examines the role and potential of Building Information Modeling in the field of landscape architecture. It aims to examine BIM's contributions to landscape design and planning, how data-driven design approaches have transformed landscape projects, and the various dimensions of the opportunities this technology offers. Furthermore, it serves as a guide, intending to increase the knowledge base on the use of BIM in landscape architecture. By addressing both the innovative advancements and challenges associated with the BIM approach in landscape design processes, this thesis endeavors to provide valuable insights for future practice and development.
