Abstract (EN)
Landscape and landscape applications is a discipline in which design and maintenance activities are carried out to create aesthetic and functional spaces and living environment for human benefit, health and safety of natural - cultural resources and physical environment. It aims to protect the environmental balance by bringing natural and artificial elements together and to make the best use of outdoor and open air areas. If the necessary health and safety measures are not taken in neighbourhood parks and children's playgrounds, which are among the landscape areas created by local governments to meet the physical, social and psychological needs of a certain age group for recreation and children's age group in the city, many dangers and risk saffecting the health and safety of both employees and children, families and visitors are encountered. Sources of danger such as cutting-piercing tools, toxic and corrosive substances, electrical panels, unsuitable floors, unsuitable location of the parking area pose serious risks from simple injury to death. Identifying and evaluating the possible risks that may occur in these areas is critical for the development of sustainable and safe landscaping practices. In this thesis, the hazards and risks frequently encountered in neighbourhood parks and playgrounds located within the central borders of Tokat province were analysed. Fine-Kinney method made it possible to calculate a risk score for each hazard by evaluating the risks in terms of probability, severity and frequency of exposure. As a result of the study, risks from the highest risk level to the insignificant risk level were identified and recommendations were presented to reduce or eliminate these risks.
