Abstract (EN)
Pythophthora capsici is the leading cause of diseases affecting pepper production areas and production volume. There has not been a fully effective method of fighting against this disease, which has been the subject of many researches in the world for many years. Nowadays, it is known that another way of surviving is to use a resistant variety. In the study, endurance studies were performed on the pepper lines and genotypes (60 genotypes) of the most common local genotypes found in the gene pool. Classical tests were first applied in seedling stage. The second (last) inoculation was also carried out (in the stage of fruit retention) with resistant genotypes in the first inoculation durable genotypes. Phytohthora capsici resistant varieties (CM 334 and partly durable P1, P2 and P4) were also included in the study. A second inoculation was also made to the genotypes providing resistance in the first inoculation. In plant materials, peroxidase and catalase enzyme contents were determined. Clearly there is clearness between peroxidase content and endurance, whereas catalase content is exceptional. 0-5 scale was applied to the plants subjected to inoculation. At the end of the study, genotypes of P1, 13 (Urfa), 25 (UKST), 38 (Uİ), 48 (UKDT), 57 (ANKSB)) were determined as partially resistant genotypes while CM 334 was determined to be fully resistant.
