Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the financial structure of PIIGS countries, to examine the globalization, regionalization and localization trends conceptually, to address the reflections of these concepts in the PIIGS countries, and to analyze the regions in the PIIGS countries to benefit from the EU Funds. In this context, in the first part of the study, the PIIGS countries were introduced and their political and economic structures were examined then the European Economic and Monetary Union and the European Convergence Agreement were explained, and the financial structures of the PIIGS countries were analyzed within the framework of these two agreements. In the second part of the study, the concepts of globalization, regionalization and localization were examined, the brief history of the European Union (EU) was discussed, the regionalization and localization trends in the EU were examined, the EU Funds were examined, and the European Regional The Autonomy Charter is discussed and the effects of regionalization and decentralization in PIIGS countries are examined. In the last part of the study, the EU Regional Development Fund (ERDF) was introduced and how and how much all regions in the PIIGS countries benefited from the ERDF were analyzed and evaluated with graphics.
