Abstract: In this study, essential oils were obtained by water vapor distillation method from Pinus pinea L. (Stone pine) and Mentha longifolia (L.) L. (Horse mint) plants. The antimicrobial effects of these essential oils on pathogenic fungi and bacteria were investigated. Essential oils obtained from plants were tested on pathogen Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus durans, Enterococcus faecium, Enterococcus faecalis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Listeria monocytogenes, Listeria innocua, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella kentucky, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella enteritidis, Serratia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Candida albicans.
