Pîrî Halîfe's Tezkire-i Evliyâ (Examination-text)

This study includes the transcripted text and analysis of the 2b-50b leaves (97 pages) of the work titled Tezkire-i Evliya with the registered place number 60 Mil Yz A 8665 in the National Library Manuscripts Collection. The interpreter of the work is Piri Khalifa (d. 1455-1460 [?]) and the work was copied by the copyist Mustafa (d.[?]) in 1778. The entire work is approximately 100 leaves, and in the study, between 2b and 50b leaves (48 leaves) has been transcribed.Tezkire-i Evliya has been brought to the attention of the researchers and the field of classical Turkish literature because it has the sound characteristics of Old Anatolian Turkish and can be included in the translations of Feridüddin Attar's Tezkiretül Evliya. The study consists of two main parts. In the first part of our work, after giving information about Evliya's memorandums, translations of Feridüddin Attar's Tezkiretül Evliya and Piri Khalifa's Tezkire- i Evliya, the spelling of the text is mentioned. In the second part, the transcripted text of Tezkire i Evliya is shown. Then the conclusion and bibliography are issued. In the study, a comparison study was conducted by considering the translations of Feriduddin Attar's Tezkiretul Evliya by Sinan Pasha, Serhat Kucuk (2011) and Uluhan Ozalan's Decrees (2009), which are the subject of the studies, and the similarities and differences between them and Piri Khalifa's Tezkire i Evliya were revealed. It has been revealed that Tezkire i Evliya is written in a simpler language, that it has a summary nature, that there are chapters and legends that are not explained in it; it has been concluded that it is a concise translation of Feriduddin Attar's Tezkiretul Evliya.
