Abstract (EN)

In this work, benzouracylacetohydroxamic acid and transition metal complexes were synthesized starting from benzouracil. The synthesis section consists of two stages. In the first step, diethyl benzouracildiacetate and benzouracildiacetohydroxamic acid were obtained from benzouracil. In the second step, metal complexes were prepared by reaction of metal acetates and ligands. The structures of the compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, mass spectroscopy and thermal analysis. As a result of the studies, it was determined that the metal:ligand ratio was 1:1 for all of the complexes and the complexes contained different numbers of water molecules. The urease inhibition capacity of ligands and complexes was determined by Weatherburn method. The Cd(II) complex caused the highest inhibition among the complexes while the ligand did not cause urease inhibition.
