Abstract (EN)

It is appear that waste products cither than main products occur in industrial production. There is difficulty storing and removing to these products obtained as waste. Moreover, they are cause to a big problem like pollution of the environment. One of the waste products is rice husk. The problem has dissolved however, neighborhood people use the rice husk as fuel for heating. For this reasons, it is studied on usability of the rice husk caused to pollution of the environment in concrete. In this thesis study, the firstly rice husk ash was obtained from rice husk by burning at 600 °C in an electric furnace. Then the ash was ground to cement fineness. Test specimens are produced by replacing (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30% by weight) cement with ash powdered. Optimum value was obtained from compressive and bending strengths of the specimens. Furthermore, a study was earned out about usability the rice husk at lightweight concrete produce. The rice husk was used by replacing to sand. Results obtained from these studies may be summarized that the rice husk ash can be used as pozzolan but the rice husk cannot be used in lightweight concrete produce due to high water absorption properties.
