Evaluation of rice husks in manufacture of particleboard

Due to lack of materials in the world, different raw material sources are being explored and used. The products obtained from annual plants in forest products sector can be used as a raw material source Turkey is a country where especially some products such as wheat, cotton, sunflower, rice Waste from crop is burned in the field or used as animal feed, husk rice that. Similarly, rice husk is used as a material that is laid under the chickens in the poultry farms. Within the frame of this study, %10-20-30 of Core Layer and Surface Layer were used for production of chipboard. Some physicals and mechanical properties of the chips plates were obtained using rice husks and determined. As due a result of this study, while the tensile strenght is 0,41 N/mm2 at %10 in the use of Core Layer in the production of rice flour, the values of %20 and over usage values fall below TS EN standards. Altough there is a slight decrease in other mechanical and physical property values higher TS EN standard values are identified.
