Özet (EN)
The production of gas, liquid (bio-oil) and solid products (char) has been known for a long time with pyrolysis technology from waste samples. The proportion of the products that can be produced by this method depends on the pyrolysis technique and the variables used. In this thesis, pyrolysis of rice husk waste was made using nitrogen gas as the entraining gas in fixed bed reactor. In order to determine optimum pyrolysis conditions in the study, the effect of temperature and heating rate on liquid product (bio-oil) yield was investigated. The composition of the experiment carried out under optimum pyrolysis conditions was determined by GC-MS. In addition, FT-IR spectra of bio oil was drawn. Thermogravimetric analysis was performed to determine the thermal behavior of the raw materials. The main purpose of the thesis is valorization of rice husk which is waste material and also rich in phenolic compounds after pyrolysis as sources of phenolic resin. In this thesis the aim is to investigate the optimum conditions of pyrolysis which gave maximum amount of phenolic compounds in bio oil. Subsequently, it is essential to synthesize an alternative resin to pyrolytic bio degradation phenolic resin with high phenolic content. Bio degradable phenolic resin was synthesized by combining glucose-linked hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) with the appropriate reaction medium and conditions. In this thesis, the highest bio-oil yield as a result of pyrolysis of rice husk was determined as %38,4 at 500°C temperature, 100°C/min heating rate and 1 L/min nitrogen gas (N2) flow rate. GC-MS analysis results was determined, %66,85 phenol, %13,17 ketone, %5.49 ester, %3.94 aromatic hydrocarbon, %2.81 ether, %2.01 alcohol and %0.23 aldehyde at 500 ° C and 100 ° C / min heating rate. The presence of functional groups belonging to compounds such as phenol, alcohol, ketone, ester and aldehyde was observed by FT-IR spectroscopy. When all these data are evaluated, it has been seen that the resin obtained from bio oil and pure phenol can be used as an alternative resin to phenol formaldehyde resins.
