It began to develop in the early phases and it moved forward and reached to several dimensionsn with the help of technological developments and increased variety of materials. This dissertation aims to mark the importance of use of typografy in plastic arts, especially in pictorial arts. In my dissertation, I probed the answers for questions such as how typografy takes place in pictorial art historically or to which artistic elements it is associated while using. Typography is began to be included to pictorial arts after Gutenberg. Even, although there is press in the Renaissance, typography did not exist as the way it exists currently; rather it was used as a typographic element in pictures. Following Gutenberg, typografy began to became one of the main elements in pictorial art. My study, targets to examine the employment of typography in pictorial arts. Specificaly, it intends to explicate the use of typography in work of arts by mentioning those artworks? artists? name.
