vDESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OFDEWATERING SCREW PRESS CONTROLLED BY PLC(M. Sc. Thesis )Ercüment YAĞCIGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYSeptember 2006ABSTRACTIn this study, the designing and manufacturing of the dewatering screw presscontrolled by PLC with has been performed. The dewatering screw press hasbeen designed and manufactured so as obtaining the valuable content of a goodor disposing the pulp without juice by dewatering the waste water. Thanks tothe PLC controlled automation system, the pressure and motor cycleadjustment of the hydraulic pressing plate is fully performed automaticallydepending on the engine current in order to perform the pressing procedurecompletely and properly. The manufactured press has been designed so asproper for the mass production, with 10 ton/hour capacity, proper for thedewatering of the various products such as refinement water?s waste mud, fruitjuice, beet pulp, starch, hashish, at 45 kW/h engine power. The manufacturedpress has been tried in two different products and the experiment results areexplained.
