In this study, design and production of the motion mechanism working with compressed air which can be used as alternative to the light vehicle?s engine such as motorcycles and ATV engines were done. The motion mechanism consists of two units namely motion unit and power unit. At the end of the studies, the developed mechanism was mounted to an ATV vehicle which has capable of 110 cc and its performance was tested using the four different weight (50, 75,100 and 150 kg), three different pressure (4, 5 and 6 bar) and two different hose (Ø6 and Ø8 mm). As a result of the experiments, mechanism drove out the 64 meters with full tank, 6 mm hose, 4 bars pressure, 150 kg weight and the average speed of 0.45 m/sec under the optimal conditions. In the charge experiments, the shortest charging time was determined as 2.5 hours with the 150 Watt solar panels. Considering the experimental results and design criteria, the power of the motion mechanism was obtained as 886 Watt.
