Abstract (EN)
This study describes the equilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamics of the adsorption of Pt(IV) ions on poly (m-aminobenzoic acid) (PABA) polymer. The chelating polymer was synthesized by the oxidation reaction of m-aminobenzoic. The equilibrium kinetic and thermodynamics of the adsorption of Pt (IV) ions on the polymer were studied. The synthesis of the chelating polymer PABA was obtained by the oxidation chemical reaction m-aminobenzoic aid and ammonium persulfate. In the characterization of Pt(IV) ions adsorbed PABA polymer, FT-IR spectroscopy, FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope) and EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) were used. In the adsorption studies; the effect of acidity, temperature and concentration of Pt(IV) ions were investigated. The optimum pH was found to be 4. The adsorption data were applied to Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. Pt(IV) adsorption capacity of the PABA polymer was calculated as 2362 µg/g. In the adsorption thermodynamic calculations, (ΔG°) values were calculated as 5540, 5217, 4642, -723 kJ/mol at 20, 30, 40 and 50 °C respectively. The enthalpy (ΔH°) of the adsorption was calculated as 610,14 kJ/mol entropy (ΔS°) 187,40 J/mol. The adsorption of Pt(IV) onto PABA polymer was found to be a chemical adsorption proses and by the mechanisms of both complex formation and ionic interaction.
