Abstract (EN)
Fibers are thread-like products with a large diameter ratio and are classified as micro or nanofibers according to the size of their diameters. Micro fibers are fibers with diameters larger than 1 µm diameter and are mostly used in textile industry. Nano fibers are fibers below 500 nm and as a result have high surface area, high porosity. This situation shows the effect of material on mechanical, thermal and structural properties and provides the use of nano fibers in many fields such as filtration, wound dressing, drug transport systems and sensors. One of the applications of nano-sized materials is polymeric nanocomposite fibers. At least one of the components forming the nanocomposite fibers is nano-sized. In the case of nanofibers, the function obtained in the case of using nano-fill materials can be seen more clearly than the fillers in the micro-size. This is the advantage of high surface area. The purpose of nanocomposite fibers is to improve the properties of the matrix. Many fillers (such as organoclay, montromorillonite) are used to improve thermal, mechanical and structural properties. One of these filling materials is halloysite. Halloysite is a natural clay. Halloysite is known to improve the thermal, mechanical and structural properties of polymer based composites. Polyamide 6,6 and halloyite nano tubes were used in this study. Formic acid was used as solvent and the solution was prepared. For the solution, polyamide 6,6 polymer was used at a concentration of 15% and halloysite filler at concentrations of 5-10-15-30% by weight. The solution was spun by electrospinning, the most common method in nano fiber production. The aim of the study was to improve the mechanical and thermal properties of polyamide 6,6 polymer. Scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and mechanical tests of the produced fibers were performed. The morphology of polyamide 6,6 and polyamide 6,6 / halloyite nanocomposite fibers obtained according to the scanning electron microscopy analysis shows that the morphological fibers are obtained.According to the results of Temogravimetric analysis; The increase in the concentration of halloysite increases the thermal stability. Mechanical strength and young modules of 5% and 10% halloysite nano tube filled nanocomposite fibers have increased compared to polyamide 6,6 nano fibers. However, when looking at the nanocomposite fibers at a concentration of 15% and 30% halloysite, it was determined that the mechanical strength and the young modulus were low compared to the polyamide 6,6 nano fibers. To summarize, halloysite nano-tube filler increases the thermal resistance of polyamide 6,6 and the mechanical strength varies according to the halloyite nano tube concentration.
